Jorge Lafitte Vega is a Mechanical Electrical Engineer from the National University of Engineering with a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Universidad del Pacífico, both from Lima, Peru. With a doctorate in Electrical Energy Systems from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has 15 years of experience in the electric power sector. He is currently Chief of Operations of the company Red de Energía del Perú of the ISA group, President of the IEEE Peru Section and Leader of the Southern Council of the IEEE PES Region 9.

Rafael Flores is a Electrical engineer from Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco, Perú, with a MSc. degree at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and PhD in Chalmers Technical University, Sweden. He also attended an Energy Management Systems specialization course in Georgia Tech, United States, and followed a General Management Program in CEDEP-European Center for Executive Development/INSEAD, France. Today, he is Chairman of PES Peru Section for 2019-2020; and he is Head of Customer Solutions – Solutions to Mining for Latam and Business Development for Networks. He owns a diverse experience in energy utilities in commercial, regulation, business development and services in electricity and natural gas. He also led many M&A.

Ricardo Arias did his Postdoctoral studies in Massachusetts Institute of Technology & UTEC; doctoral in engineering by PUCP, master’s degree in Engineering; a second specialty in engineering degree and Electrical engineer degree by UNSA. He has 15 years of experience in Generation & Transmission systems. Currently, he is Focal Point in operational efficiency for Solar, Wind, Hydro and BESS technologies in ENEL, IEEE Vice chairman PES Peru & Editor associate in IEEE Latin America Transactions.

Jennifer Mejía is a Colombian electrical engineer, with experience in international power system project coordination, solid knowledge in analysis of Electrical Systems, Transmission Lines & Generation systems. Currently she is project Manager of the largest PV and Wind farms in Peru and Chile. She has worked in control and automation systems in Indra Colombia (installation, automation and configuration of equipment in the operations control center for tunnels and highways) and worked as commissioning manager in international large-scale power transmission projects in Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Spain, Chile, Germany, Russia and Argelia. She is also IEEE Senior member, is a senior researcher recognized by Concytec and have worked in researching Dynamics and Operation of Power Systems & she have pertained to Transmission networks group, accredited by COLCIENCIAS, from January 2006 to July 2010.

Lisien León is a BSc in Electrical Engineering by National University of Engineering from Perú. She is working in Business Development area to introduce green mobility and others solutions made to measure that include smart, energy-efficient equipment, powered using carbon-free energy. She is an active IEEE volunteer since 2016, she is a currently Women in Power – Regional Representative. She is interested in energy solutions friendly to environment for consumers and to work in 7th Sustainable Development Goal – Affordable and Clean Energy with IEEE SIGHT.

Karina Huanqui is a BSc in Electrical Engineering by Universidad Nacional del Callao, Perú. She worked in the Regulation Coordination of the Business Development Management of the company Red de Energía del Perú of the ISA group, supporting the calculation processes of transmission tolls and analyzing the impact of the regulations of the electricity sector. She is an active IEEE volunteer since 2015 and she is a currently Women in Power Peru Representative. She is interested in regulation and electricity market, energy transmission and electricity generation with RER.
